Brace Yourself

It took us long enough to get our shit together, but Seedcast is ready to rip in 007. We’re back, we’re bigger and we’re serious about unleashing some ill casts to make up for lost time.

Seedcast will also now be available in MP3 and Ogg Vorbis audio formats, alongside the usual AAC with all the bells and whistles. This means that if you could not listen to Seedcast before, there should be no excuses now. Look for the extra audio feeds hitting our sidebar anytime now =>

Super important: you do not need an iPod to listen to Seedcast! Just download the episodes or subscribe to the feed in the audio format that works for you (MP3 is probably the safest) - then listen to it wherever you want; on your MP3 player, computer or burn the file to CD.

Audacity - Phat Sound EditorAnd while we’re at it (and because we haven’t done it before), big up to the cats at Audacity for the open source sound editor they develop, which we use to string together this here podcast. Respect.

Episode 14 should be up in a few hours, featuring DJ Dope and African Dope’s Greatest Hit.

Episode 13: Ripples in the Mesh

Constructus CorporationIn this special edition of Seedcast we bring you an early Christmas present in the form of the Constructus Corporation’s radio drama - ‘Ripples in the Mesh’. It’s a rare piece of beat history and an awesome production, done by Markus Wormstorm.

African Dope Records still has copies of Constructus’ The Ziggurat available from their online store. Checkout www.africandope.co.za for details of their latest specials. International customers (outside of South Africa) should visit lowlands.be for the same deals.

Episode 11: Mash and Shady

After a brief hiatus (careful, it’s contagious) Seedcast is back with an episode dedicated to mash-ups and remixes. We take a listen to Richard III mashing Felix Laband with Michael Jackson, Lark with Kelis, Watkin Tudor Jones with Audio Bullys and a remix of the Real Estate Agents’ Octave by Octave. That, and a lot of talk about stuff. Peel off a slice…
